Backend Engineer (Node.js) | $80/hr Remote

Position: Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js, AWS)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $30 - $80/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Node.js and AWS.
• Architect and implement scalable microservices across distributed systems.
• Integrate AI capabilities into backend workflows and product features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex backend issues to ensure system reliability.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively through written and verbal collaboration.

Requirements

• Strong experience building production-grade backend applications with Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services for deployment, scalability, and monitoring.
• Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Understanding of AI integration within backend systems and workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in a remote environment.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
