Business Product Owner (BPO)
Location: Remote, working Eastern Time
Role Overview
- Support the separation initiative as a Business Product Owner, working under/alongside a Business Product Manager.
- Strong preference for MD RIM (Medical Device Regulatory Information Management) experience or experience with another RIM platform combined with a strong understanding of the regulatory affairs process.
- Work closely with regulatory affairs customers/business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into user stories and business requirements.
- Partner with the Technical Product Owner (TPO) to translate business requirements into technical requirements for development teams.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is important.
- This is intended to be a business-facing product role rather than a heavily IT-focused position. Beth specifically wants to avoid candidates whose backgrounds are primarily technical/IT.
- Technical/development resources are expected to come onboard in October, so Beth would like the BPO onboarded ahead of that timeframe.
Ideal Candidate
- Business/Product Owner or Business Product Manager background
- MD RIM experience strongly preferred
- Regulatory affairs/process knowledge
- User stories and requirements gathering
- Agile/Scrum
- Strong business/customer-facing communication
- Ability to bridge business needs and technical teams without being an overly technical/IT-oriented candidate
