About The Role As an E-commerce Front End Developer at Cognizant, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all front-end development activities related to our e-commerce platforms. Your role is pivotal in creating seamless, engaging, and high-performing user experiences that drive customer engagement and conversion. You will work closely with management, cross-functional teams, and clients to analyze UI issues, develop innovative solutions, and optimize the overall user journey. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute effectively from any location, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance supported by our comprehensive wellbeing initiatives. You will lead UI/UX projects, collaborate with third-party agencies, and ensure the delivery of best-in-class e-commerce experiences. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in front-end development
• Expertise in React.js, Next.js (including Hooks, Redux, Saga)
• Proficiency in Node.js, CMS component integration, API service consumption
• Experience with SSR/CSR rendering, middleware, and logging
• Strong knowledge of Git, SourceTree, deployment processes, Postman, and JEST for testing
• Proficient in responsive UI development using Bootstrap CSS framework (MDB library)
• Excellent understanding of eCommerce platforms and commercial offerings
• UI design, responsive development, and frontend architecture expertise
• Knowledge of SEO, Google Tag Manager, and A/B testing (preferred but optional)
• Ability to lead UI/UX development and mentor team members
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze UI issues, identify root causes, and develop effective action plans
• Conduct code reviews and facilitate meetings with offshore teams regularly
• Estimate UI development efforts and manage project timelines
• Provide guidance to UI teams on UX/UI development approaches
• Collaborate with client teams, design, backend, and frontend development teams to ensure alignment
• Coordinate with partners and vendors to achieve business objectives
• Lead user experience and design projects, including creation of information architecture, wireframes, personas, and user journeys
• Implement and communicate effective design processes using Design Thinking and user-centered design techniques
• Incorporate customer feedback into UX/UI design to maintain design excellence
• Drive iterative design and development processes in collaboration with third-party agencies, including research, prototyping, UI design, and testing
• Diagnose and resolve conversion challenges in partnership with external agencies and developers
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot complex issues during project delivery
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and internal teams
