Volunteer Programmer

We’re looking for a volunteer to join us working on our debut narrative driven psychological horror, Erebus-9. Currently only open to applicants who are based in the UK and have full rights to work in the UK.

About Centaurus Software

Our team is comprised of approximately 8 team members, all of whom are volunteering. Our studio won Tranzfuser 2025 and had funding for 5 months. We’re now in the process of finalising our demo for Erebus-9 with the intention of looking for publisher investment so we can move our volunteers into paid positions. If we’re not able to find an investor, we will work on a timeline to self-publish. We truly believe in the potential of Erebus-9 following positive feedback at various professional events including Amaze, ProtoPlay and London Games Festival.

We work fully remote, and volunteers will need access to their own computers. Our team all work other jobs, so we’re currently fully flexible on hours. We value inclusivity, transparency and put a lot of focus on our players experience.

What we’re looking for

·                 Experience programming on Unreal Engine (Blueprints) and Unity

·                 Understanding and experience using Diversion

·                 Ability to volunteer at least 10 hours per week

·                 Experience working in a team

·                 Passion for old-school games

·                 Drive to work in an indie studio

·                 An open attitude to feedback and learning

If you are shortlisted, we will arrange a follow up call so you can meet the team and ask any questions. This will also give us a chance to speak more about your experiences and motivations for applying. Calls will be arranged w/c 11th May.
