Android Developer (Remote – U.S. Based | Quarterly Travel to Austin, TX)Location: Remote (Candidates must be located in the United States)

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with 7+ years of professional experience to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications. This is a fully remote role for U.S.-based candidates, with quarterly in-person client meetings in Austin, TX.
The ideal candidate is highly hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable owning features end-to-end while collaborating with distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications
- Build modern UI using Jetpack Compose or XML layouts
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices
- Conduct unit and integration testing and participate in code reviews
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance, stability, and security issues
- Support the full application lifecycle from development to release
- Participate in quarterly onsite meetings in Austin, TXRequired Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional Android development experience
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin (Java is a plus)
- Extensive experience with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose
- Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven ability to debug complex issues and optimize app performance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with Coroutines & Flow
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices
- Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Google Play Store
- Exposure to cross-platform frameworks (React Native / Flutter)
