Full Stack Developer

About this opportunity:

CADchat is looking for a Full Stack Developer to help scale and mature our 3D collaboration platform as we enter our next phase of growth. This is a new, high‑impact role for an engineer who can own features end to end — from backend services and data models to frontend experiences — while helping strengthen the systems that support reliability, performance, and long‑term scalability. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership as a thought partner, contributing not just code, but sound technical judgment and architectural perspective. While the role spans the full stack, it leans deeper into backend, infrastructure, and scalability challenges, supporting a platform that customers rely on for precision, clarity, and confidence as usage continues to grow.

CADchat is a SaaS platform built for modern product and engineering teams to collaborate around 3D models, drawings, and design decisions — in real time and asynchronously.

We help teams replace slow, fragmented workflows (screenshots, emails, scattered markups) with a shared visual workspace that accelerates feedback, improves clarity, and reduces costly mistakes.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, quality systems, and compliance, enabling teams to move fast with confidence while maintaining trust in our security and processes.

Your key contributions in this role will be:

• Owning and delivering product features end to end — from backend architecture and data models through frontend implementation
• Designing, building, and maintaining backend services using .NET and Node
• Working extensively with PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, and performance tuning
• Building and evolving frontend features using React and TypeScript
• Designing and consuming APIs and real-time services (e.g., WebSockets)
• Contributing to scalable infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and Helm charts
• Supporting file services and file conversion systems that are critical to the platform
• Participating in architectural decisions that balance scalability, maintainability, and delivery speed
• Collaborating closely with product, design, QA, and engineering peers
• Acting as a thought partner and support resource through code reviews and technical discussions
• Helping improve development standards, documentation, and long-term system clarity

We are looking for candidates with the below experience and skills, however, even if you do not meet all the listed requirements, very interested candidates should still apply:

• Proven experience in a Full Stack Developer role, with hands-on responsibility for both frontend and backend application development.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and SQL, including writing queries and supporting backend data needs.
• Experience building and maintaining modern web applications in a collaborative development environment.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions effectively and work through architectural concepts with teammates.
• Extra points for: Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD practices, C#, Azure, containerized deployments, or architectural diagramming.
