Description
A Full-Stack developer is part of our Engineering team, with responsibilities for development on our web properties. This person needs to be adaptable, curious, and thorough – with a desire to put out great experiences with as few bugs and performance issues as possible.

Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of development including design, implementation, deployment, and support.
- Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale.
- Developing front-end and back-end code for new functionality in collaboration with Engineering team members.
- Tracking down bugs and functionality issues.
- Utilizing existing BookFunnel frameworks, as well as bringing knowledge of emerging frameworks for front-end and back-end development.
Qualifications
- Fast learner with adaptable skills
- Ability to maintain empathic and professional communication at all times
- Five+ years experience in building full-stack web applications.
- Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one backend programming language (i.e. Python, Ruby, GoLang, NodeJS, Java)
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Experience with TCL would be a huge plus, but we don’t expect many people to have that.
- Experience with React, Angular, Ionic, Swift, or Android SDK also a plus.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases a plus (i.e. Redis, Cassandra, Mongo, Elasticsearch, CouchDB, etc…).
- Preference will be given to self-published authors, candidates with extensive experience using BookFunnel, or candidates otherwise involved with the self-publishing industry.
