About Beyond:
Beyond is a youth mental health charity tackling the growing mental health crisis affecting young people in the UK. We strive to address the lack of access to mental health support and create opportunities for early and personalised interventions, guided by our commitment to transforming society's approach to youth mental health.
Our vision is a world where every young person has equitable access to effective mental health support at the right moment, allowing them to lead fulfilling lives and reach their full potential.
Our strategic initiatives delivering on our mission:
Schools Programme
We know that early intervention can have a significant and lasting positive effect on the life of a young person and those around them.
We aim to provide educational settings with crucial access to the mental health interventions required via our Schools’ Programme to ensure this urgent need is met.
Youth Mental Health Directory
We created the first cross-sector directory of mental health services available for young people across the UK. Our directory offers comprehensive coverage of services, from 1:1 counselling to art therapy, ensuring individual needs are met. We list over 300 providers and each one is vetted by a dedicated clinician.
Education platform
Now & Beyond is a powerful platform designed in collaboration with young people and forward-thinking mental health organisations. We are dedicated to giving educators free access to youth-approved, curriculum-aligned mental health lesson materials for 4-18 year olds. Since 2021 we have reached over 2 million young people, educators and parents.
Youth Board
At the heart and soul of Beyond is our brilliant Youth Board, made up of young people with their own mental health stories. These people generously volunteer their time to inform everything we do and keep us focussed on what really matters, what young people need. In return, we strive to empower them to become influential voices of and for their generation.
