This position is ideal for individuals based in the UK with the unrestricted right to work, as sponsorship cannot be provided. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, Microsoft-focused IT consultancy dedicated to delivering innovative data solutions to a diverse client portfolio. Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Databricks is essential, along with strong SQL and Python skills, including the development of stored procedures and notebooks. Knowledge of data lake design principles, large-scale data integration, and cloud migration projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with Power BI, MDX/DAX, and data warehousing concepts will be advantageous. Certifications such as DP-600, DP-700, or Databricks certifications are a plus, reflecting a commitment to professional development. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are critical for success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive end-to-end data solutions, including data acquisition, engineering, modeling, analysis, and visualization, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Lead client workshops to gather detailed requirements, facilitate understanding, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Design and implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Databricks platforms, with experience in at least one platform being essential.
  • Create scalable data lake architectures based on medallion architecture principles to support large-scale data processing and storage.
  • Migrate legacy on-premises data systems such as SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS to modern cloud-based platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity.
  • Develop insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI to support data-driven decision-making processes across various business functions.
  • Provide post-deployment support, monitor data solutions, and implement continuous improvements to optimize performance and usability.

Benefits The role offers a competitive salary within the specified range, along with flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance. Employees will have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, including certifications and training programs, to enhance their skills and career progression. The organization fosters an inclusive and collaborative environment, emphasizing teamwork and knowledge sharing.
