Job Description

Posted on: September 4, 2026

At AvioWiki, we build and maintain the aviation data that other software runs on. Our core product is a comprehensive database of the world's airports, delivered to software companies, flight operations platforms, and aviation service providers who need this data to be accurate, complete, and always current.

We're looking for a Product Manager / Data Analyst who can own both sides of that work: shaping where the product goes, and making sure the data behind it holds up.

In this role you have a chance of imparting incremental or game-changing value to the product and be a protagonist of the future growth of the aviowiki platform.

This is a hands-on role in a small team. You'll work directly with a compact development team, set the roadmap, and at the same time be the person who understands our data better than anyone — querying it, validating it, and answering the data questions that come in day to day.

Aviation knowledge is a strong plus. What matters most is that you're comfortable working with data, structured in how you think, and used to turning requirements into something a dev team can build.

What you'll do
  • Own the product roadmap: decide what gets built next, and why.
  • Work with customers and partners to understand how they consume our data and what they need from it.
  • Translate business needs into product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the development team.
  • Guide and support the dev team through discovery, delivery, and release.
  • Handle daily data queries — from customers and internally — using SQL and our internal tools.
  • Analyse our datasets to find gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues, and drive the work to fix them.
  • Define and monitor data quality metrics, coverage, and completeness.
  • Prioritise initiatives based on customer value, business impact, and what's technically realistic.
  • Validate what we ship through feedback, testing, and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or a mix of these in a software or data company.
  • Solid working knowledge of Databases and comfort digging into large datasets independently.
  • Knowledge of and experience with AI, with a strong interest to enhance the entire value chain of the aviowiki product
  • Experience working directly with developers — writing requirements, breaking down work, and following it through to release.
  • Ability to analyse complex data structures and turn them into simple, usable product requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail. In a data business, small errors can have a big impact.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Structured thinking, strong ownership, and the comfort to make decisions with incomplete information.
  • Confidence working in an international, remote-first environment.

Nice to have
  • Interest in or knowledge of aviation — airports, airspace, flight operations, or aviation data standards (ICAO/IATA codes, AIP, NOTAMs).
  • Experience with APIs, data delivery, or integration-heavy products.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or data-as-a-service.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, or data quality tooling.
  • Experience with reporting and BI tools.

At AvioWiki, you'll own a product that other companies depend on to get aviation right. The team is small, so the work is broad and the impact is direct: the decisions you make about our data show up immediately in the products our customers build. If you like working close to both the data and the people who use it, we'd love to hear from you.
