The Digital Product Manager (DPM) role involves a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong leadership skills, focusing on the development and management of digital products and platforms within the insurance industry.

Key responsibilities

• Product Vision and Strategy: Defining the vision, objectives, scope, and desired outcomes for strategic programs and ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
• Requirements Gathering and Definition: Collaborating with business stakeholders, system owners, and users to capture business requirements and translate them into detailed specifications for software development, particularly for Guidewire Implementation (focus on Policy Center and Claim Center).
• Technical Product Ownership: Balancing technical requirements with business objectives and user experience considerations, including systems design, data architecture & development.
• Stakeholder Management: Effectively managing relationships with senior stakeholders, colleagues at all levels, and third-party vendors and implementation partners.
• Project Management & Delivery: Leading and managing multiple, high-impact projects, developing detailed project plans (scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets), monitoring performance, and mitigating risks.
• Communication & Reporting: Clearly communicating the overall vision, objectives, scope, and status of the program, providing regular updates to senior leadership, and developing effective communication plans.
• Change Management: Developing and implementing robust change management strategies to effectively manage and coordinate change across the program.
• Team Collaboration & Leadership: Fostering a collaborative working environment across teams, providing guidance and mentorship, and acting as a source of knowledge and inspiration for project teams.
• Process Improvement: Actively contributing to improving project management processes and methodologies to enhance delivery.

Essential skills and qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is typically required. Candidates should have 3-5 years of related experience, particularly in product management with a focus on technical products or platforms. Strong technical understanding, including systems design, data architecture and development, is necessary, along with the ability to balance these technical requirements with business objectives and user experience.
• Key skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities for managing internal and external stakeholders, experience turning technical projects into business KPIs, and advanced project leadership skills with a proven track record of managing large, complex programs and delivering tangible business outcomes. The role also requires experience engaging with senior leaders strategically, a deep understanding of change management, proficiency in project management tools, and the ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty. Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, analytical, and problem-solving skills are also essential.
• The DPM is responsible for driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the successful delivery of digital products aligned with client goals.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
