• Define and drive the strategic UI direction of the product, aligning engineering initiatives with business goals to elevate user experience, reliability, and accessibility.
• Lead and oversee multiple engineering teams, ensuring successful project execution and achievement of key objectives.
• Ensure transparent communication of priorities and context among the team, product management and stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
• Provide mentorship and career development support to engineers, promoting growth and technical excellence.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to build and sustain high-performing teams, addressing skill gaps proactively.
• Establish and uphold engineering best practices, ensuring adherence to high standards in architecture, coding, and security.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation and on-time delivery.
• Take ownership of project risks and issues, identifying and mitigating potential obstacles to success.
• Act as a key liaison between engineering and other departments, facilitating effective communication and resolving cross-functional challenges.
• Represent the engineering team in meetings and presentations, clearly conveying technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance, including personalized 1-on-1 meetings, provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and industry standards, including safety regulations relevant to engineering projects.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices, driving continuous innovation across engineering processes.

You

• You have successfully led diverse engineering teams, including onboarding and performance management
• Excellent leader with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
• Interested in addressing ambiguous business problems and figuring out the right short-term and long-terms plans to solve them
• You have a track record of delivering high-quality software products on schedule and collaborating closely with product partners.
• Strong technician, particularly with Swift UI, Qt and C/C++, who is interested in remaining a hands-on leader

The following are not required, but definitely nice to have:

• Deep experience in development for macOS
• Previously worked with Senior leadership at a large company
• Have experience working in an experimentation led environment.
