About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Fullstack Software Engineer specializing in Marketing Technology to join our dynamic Content Platform team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership in designing and building a no-code or low-code platform that streamlines marketing communication workflows. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, and marketing stakeholders—to develop scalable, efficient, and user-centric solutions that enhance Airbnb’s marketing capabilities across onsite and offsite channels. Your expertise will help reduce time-to-market for marketing initiatives, improve platform usability, and drive strategic technical planning to support Airbnb’s growth and engagement objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring over nine years of hands-on software engineering experience, demonstrate proven leadership in technical strategy, and possess a passion for delivering high-quality, reliable systems. You will mentor engineering teams, foster a culture of technical excellence, and collaborate effectively across departments to solve complex problems that have a direct impact on our business growth.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong technical background.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience leading project teams, setting technical direction, and mentoring engineers.
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, availability, and performance optimization.
• Experience in defining product and technical strategies and aligning them with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to drive initiatives across teams and departments.
• Passion for technical quality, efficiency, and system reliability.
• Bonus: Experience working within Marketing Technologies or related domains.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect the future state of the Content Platform, incorporating product-first workflows and end-user needs.
• Lead engineering efforts—both within your team and across multiple teams—to develop scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and marketing stakeholders to develop product requirements and UX designs.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence through code reviews, best practices, and operational monitoring.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering collaboration and technical growth within the team.
• Identify technical and product challenges, proposing innovative solutions to enhance platform performance and usability.
• Work with cross-functional teams including Marketing Technologies, Machine Learning, Growth Marketing, and Creative to deliver impactful solutions.
• Establish a technical vision that ensures platform availability, efficiency, and scalability to meet evolving business needs.
