About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Software Technology Inc. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining our front-end speech recognition applications utilized by healthcare professionals, particularly doctors during patient data entry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing cross-platform mobile applications and SDKs that interact with our neural network speech engine. You will work on audio collection and processing, cloud voice recognition, network security, recognition configuration, and post-recognition text processing. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and accuracy of medical documentation, ultimately enabling healthcare providers to dedicate more time to patient care. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise in Android and iOS development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an agile environment. You will be involved in requirements gathering, implementation, code reviews, manual testing, and supporting released software. Additionally, you will engage with customers to facilitate SDK integration and troubleshoot issues, ensuring a seamless user experience and robust functionality. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, verified prior to start date; or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of ten (10) years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least three (3) years of mobile development experience.
  • Proficiency with Objective-C and iOS development, with a willingness to learn Android development; or experience with Java and Android development, with a willingness to learn iOS.

Additional Qualifications That Could Enhance Your Success Include

  • Experience with iOS (Objective-C), Xamarin (C#), C++ (read-only), or Kotlin.
  • Strong working knowledge of network security and encryption, audio processing, and speech recognition technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and a creative, curious attitude towards new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Interest in healthcare IT, critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test Android and iOS applications and SDK components related to speech recognition functionalities.
  • Gather requirements, implement features, and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Conduct manual testing and support co-workers through buddy testing procedures.
  • Merge and graft tasks to support ongoing software releases and updates.
  • Provide periodic in-house support during business hours, addressing user and client issues promptly.
  • Identify, document, and communicate software defects clearly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with customers to facilitate SDK integration, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
  • Participate in team meetings, contribute innovative ideas, and stay updated on emerging mobile development trends and technologies.
  • Maintain a focus on security, encryption, and data privacy standards in all development activities.
