
Technical Product Owner, MarTech (Remote)

The primary responsibility of the Technical Product Owner is to work within the A&F Technology community leading the strategy for the product. The Technical Product Owner will collaborate with stakeholders to understand current pain points and future initiatives to deliver solutions that meet business requirements. This role is focused on affiliate platforms within Marketing Technology Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for any needs related to their Martech products
- Support the product strategy and roadmap for affiliate and Marketing Technology platforms, helping to ensure reliable performance, scalability, and alignment with business and technology goals
- Partner closely with engineering teams, architects, data teams, and business stakeholders to define technical requirements, integrations, APIs, and platform capabilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions and solution design discussions for affiliate tracking, attribution, data integrations, and platform enhancements
- Maintain a hands-on role in affiliate platform integrations, APIs, tracking implementations, and data validation to ensure platform stability, accurate attribution, and seamless cross-system functionality
- Collaborate with development teams on API integrations, event-based data flows, webhook implementations, and third-party vendor connectivity
- Monitor and improve platform performance, uptime, data integrity, attribution accuracy, and operational health metrics
- Support backlog prioritization by balancing business needs, technical improvements, scalability, and operational stability
- Partner with vendors and internal engineering teams to troubleshoot integration issues, resolve production incidents, and optimize platform performance
- Support data validation and troubleshooting efforts using SQL queries, dashboards, logs, and analytics tools
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with Agile development approaches and techniques
- Scrum master experience a plus
- Understanding of data architecture and integration
- Experience with affiliate platforms (Impact a plus)
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment and effectively meet project deliverables on time
- Experience directing change with external vendors
- Must demonstrate strong communication and team collaboration skills
