DescriptionPurpose The Senior Program Manager leads the execution and delivery of complex cross-functional programs and projects, ensuring work is planned, coordinated, and delivered in alignment with business objectives, scope, timelines, dependencies, and intended outcomes. Reporting to the Director, Delivery & Execution, this role partners closely with business leaders, the Strategy Execution Office leadership, Business Analysts, and delivery partners to translate strategic initiative direction into structured execution plans and successful implementation outcomes. The Senior Program Manager serves as a hands-on execution leader responsible for driving initiatives and projects from concept through implementation, ensuring initiatives move forward with clarity, momentum, and accountability. This role also contributes to strengthening enterprise delivery capabilities at AAIS by supporting the development and maturation of program and project management practices, tools, and execution disciplines across the organization. Responsibilities Program Leadership & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned initiatives and projects from planning through implementation and operational transition.
  • Translate strategic initiative intent into structured execution plans including scope, milestones, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Lead assigned enterprise initiatives, multi-workstream programs and projects from planning through delivery.
  • Build and maintain integrated delivery plans, milestones, deliverables, and execution rhythms.
  • Drive day-to-day execution across workstreams to ensure initiatives progress according to plan and deliver intended outcomes.
  • Ensure initiatives have clear scope, ownership, success measures, dependencies, and decision paths.
  • Hold teams accountable for milestone completion, deliverables, and execution commitments.
  • Monitor program health and proactively address risks, issues, blockers, and scope changes.
  • Escalate material risks, tradeoffs, and execution concerns to delivery leadership as appropriate.
  • Ensure assigned initiatives deliver agreed scope, timelines, and intended business outcomes.

Planning, Readiness & Delivery Support

  • Partner with Business Analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into executable delivery plans.
  • Support readiness planning for implementation, operational transition, and adoption activities.
  • Ensure delivery plans reflect realistic sequencing, resource constraints, and operational impacts.
  • Support change control and impact assessment as initiatives evolve.
  • Partner with business and change leaders to support stakeholder readiness, communication, and adoption planning.

Stakeholder Communication & Decision Support

  • Provide clear, decision-ready reporting on program status, risks, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Tailor communications for executive, sponsor, and working-team audiences.
  • Surface tradeoffs and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Maintain transparency regarding delivery progress and execution confidence.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate work across business, operational, and technology stakeholders to maintain alignment and delivery progress.
  • Manage dependencies across workstreams, teams, and related initiatives.
  • Facilitate working sessions, decision meetings, and delivery checkpoints.
  • Ensure action items, decisions, and follow-through are documented and tracked.

Delivery Standards & Continuous Improvement

  • Apply SEO delivery standards, templates, and tools consistently across assigned programs.
  • Support governance and review processes established by the Strategy Execution Office.
  • Contribute lessons learned and recommendations to strengthen delivery maturity and execution effectiveness.

Delivery Capability Development

  • Play a key role in establishing and maturing enterprise program and project management capabilities at AAIS, supporting digital transformation and business modernization efforts.
  • Support the development and adoption of program and project management standards, templates, and toolkits.
  • Promote consistent use of delivery tools, governance processes, and execution rhythms across initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery transparency, coordination, and execution discipline.

RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of program and project management practices in complex, cross-functional environments, with the ability to lead multi-workstream initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Demonstrated execution discipline, including the ability to translate ambiguity into structured plans, manage risks and dependencies, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance execution rigor with pragmatic delivery approaches.
  • Excellent facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across business, technology, and external partners in a remote-first environment.
  • Proficiency with delivery management tools, collaboration platforms, and modern program management practices.
  • Working knowledge of organizational change management principles that support initiative adoption and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in program management, project management, or delivery leadership roles, with responsibility for complex, cross functional initiatives.
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation efforts, including digital modernization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience advancing delivery standards, tools, or practices within an organization.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Prosci Change Management Certification or equivalent change management experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for company meetings or planning sessions.

Salary Description Starting at $120k + bonus
