Full Stack Engineer

Founding Engineer - Python & TypeScript📍Remote - UK⏳Permanent💼£100K/year

Seeking a Senior Lead Full Stack Developer who excels at both building and leading. This is roughly a 70/30 role: most of your time will be spent writing production-level code across the stack, while also guiding and mentoring a growing engineering team.

You’ll work closely with the CTO to translate product goals into scalable architecture, lead sprint planning and engineering processes, and directly shape the evolution of the AI-driven video platform. This role has a clear path toward Head of Engineering within 12–24 months.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve full-stack architecture (Python, Flask, React)
• Write high-quality, scalable code while mentoring a team of 4 engineers
• Lead sprint planning, task assignments, and engineering operations
• Collaborate with the CTO on roadmap execution and technical priorities
• Architect and deliver new features end-to-end (from APIs to UI)
• Design and maintain microservices and internal APIs
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (ECS/Kubernetes, autoscaling, storage)

Requirements

• 5+ years as a full stack engineer (Python, Flask, React/JS), with 2+ years in a technical leadership role
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems & APIs in production
• Hands-on expertise with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent)
• Background in video, media tech, or AI/ML platforms
• Previous startup or small tech company experience
