React Native Android Developer | Contract (3-6. Months)

We're looking for someone who cares about what they build.

We've built Landtrax, a React Native app with native Swift components, for a client whose team and customers uses it every day on iPhones and iPads in the field. It works well. Now we need to bring it to Android.

That's where you come in.

The Work

You'll take our existing iOS app and bring it to Android. That means:

• Converting the native Swift modules to Kotlin/Java
• Updating React Native layers where needed for a proper Android experience
• Making sure the app doesn't just work on Android, it feels like it belongs there
• Working directly with the client and their end users to understand how the app is actually used in the real world

This isn't a "here's a spec, go build it in isolation" kind of gig. At Zero41, developers talk to clients. You'll be on calls, asking questions, understanding the workflows, and making sure what you build actually fits. If that sounds uncomfortable, this probably isn't the right fit. What You Bring

• Deep experience with native Android development (Kotlin/Java). You know the platform, beyond React Native's abstraction of it
• Strong React Native experience. You've shipped real apps to production
• The ability to look at a well-built iOS app and know what it takes to bring that same quality to Android
• Comfort (ideally enthusiasm) for talking directly with clients and end users
• A genuine care for code quality. Tests, reviews, clean architecture, the works
• Experience working remotely and managing your own time

The Details

• Contract: 3–6 months
• Rate: $100 per hour
• Location: Remote, but Perth-based is preferred for timezone alignment with our team and client
• Start: As soon as we find the right person
