We are building a new team around a variety of apps for road trip planning as well as finding camping locations across North America.

Role Overview

The Frontend Software Engineer is an early career engineer who contributes directly to feature development, bug fixes, and technical improvements. The role focuses on writing maintainable code, learning best practices, and collaborating with teammates to simplify the complexities of travel planning and discovery at scale. The role works with other developers as well as the business, product, and design teams to enhance the user experience of the our digital products.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Contributes to feature development, bug fixes, and technical improvements.
• Writes maintainable code.
• Learns and applies engineering best practices under guidance.
• Delivers small to medium features with support.
• Contributes to team discussions and code reviews.
• Fix software and interface defects when discovered.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

• 1+ years professional development experience
• Comfortable using Git and Linux command line
• Self-motivated and able to deal with periods of autonomy in a remote work environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
• Experience with HTML, CSS (SASS), Javascript, React, PHP, Ruby on Rails, WordPress
