About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack to lead the design and development of next-generation health insurance eCommerce solutions. This pivotal role involves technical leadership, hands-on development, and strategic planning to build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that serve millions of users. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating impactful software, possess deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, and demonstrate a strong ability to mentor and collaborate across teams. In this role, you will work across the full technology stack—both frontend and backend—driving architectural decisions, implementing innovative features, and ensuring optimal system performance. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, data teams, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions that enhance user experience and business outcomes. Your leadership will be instrumental in adopting emerging AI tools and practices to improve developer productivity and system intelligence, aligning with our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technical direction of our platform, champion best practices, and contribute to a mission that positively impacts millions of lives. You will be expected to lead by example, promote high-quality code, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the engineering team. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of comprehensive software engineering experience with significant full-stack contributions
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, ES6+, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Next.js
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs at scale
  • Solid understanding of backend frameworks, microservices architecture, and cloud environments like AWS
  • Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, flexbox, grid, and mobile-first responsive design principles
  • Deep knowledge of web performance optimization strategies and core metrics (LCP, CLS)
  • Strong database skills with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Experience with integrating third-party services, APIs, and platforms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance full-stack web applications
  • Drive the adoption of emerging AI tools and practices to enhance developer productivity and system intelligence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that improve user experience and business outcomes
  • Guide the integration of third-party services, APIs, and platforms, including GraphQL, CMS systems, and analytics tools
  • Mentor engineers, enforce high code quality standards, and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
  • Partner with Product and UX teams to evaluate the technical feasibility of upcoming features and experiments
  • Implement SEO and accessibility best practices to ensure reach and inclusivity
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks related to page speed, server responsiveness, and database performance
  • Lead technical planning, roadmap discussions, and scope complex features and systems
  • Champion responsible and strategic use of AI tools, setting guidelines for team adoption
