Ruby on Rails Engineer

We’re working with a leading Australian product company to find a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join their Engineering team.

This is a fully remote opportunity in Australia for someone with full working rights in Australia for an engineer who comes from a product background and enjoys building software that delivers a strong user experience.

You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to develop new features, improve existing functionality, and help shape a platform used by a growing community of users.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, product-led environment and wants to contribute to meaningful digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the company’s core product using Ruby on Rails
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features
• Contribute to product improvements with a strong focus on usability and customer experience
• Build and maintain clean, scalable, and well-tested code
• Support the delivery of new functionality across the platform

About You

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Ruby on Rails Developer / Engineer
• Strong background working in product companies
• Passionate about building products that create excellent user experiences
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Based in Australia with full working rights (Australian Citizen or PR only)
