Job Title: JavaScript Developer (Vue/Node)

Location: Remote – PST hours – some travel to Pasadena, CA (once or twice every 4 months)

Salary Range: $100,000 – $125,000 + benefits

Required Skills & Qualifications

• BA/BS with 5+ years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful web services
• Solid understanding of Node.js for server-side development
• Proficiency in Vue.js for building dynamic user interfaces
• Knowledge of SQL fundamentals and database design principles
• Experience with Git workflows and collaborative development
• Hands-on experience with AWS for application deployment and management
• Proven experience building and deploying applications to production environments
• Strong communication skills, particularly in translating business needs into technical requirements
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with both front-end and back-end development (50/50 split)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (stand-ups, sprint planning, requirement gathering)
• Experience working in small teams (10–15 people, including developers, QA, and DevOps)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support and enhance a grant management system, balancing maintenance and new development
• Develop and implement new features while ensuring stability of existing applications
• Collaborate with a small, cross-functional team (developers, QA, DevOps)
• Participate in stand-ups, requirement gathering, and team discussions
• Work independently on tasks while maintaining clear communication with the team
• Ensure smooth deployment and integration of applications in AWS environments
