We are currently looking for 2x Senior Python Developers to join a high-impact digital programme within the public sector health space. This project focuses on modernising critical screening services and improving large-scale healthcare platforms that support millions of users.

This role would suit highly capable engineers who enjoy solving complex problems quickly and efficiently. The team is looking for developers who are genuinely sharp, proactive and comfortable working at pace. The team places a strong emphasis on engineering quality, collaboration and modern development practices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing backend services using Python

  • Using AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude, Codex or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate analysis and development where appropriate
  • Building and deploying infrastructure and pipelines using DevOps tooling
  • Working closely with other developers through regular pair programming
  • Writing and maintaining high quality automated tests using a test-driven development approach

Required experience:

  • Around 5–7 years of software engineering experience

  • Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Comfortable working in highly collaborative engineering environments

Desirable experience:

  • Django or FastAPI
  • SQL
  • Java (beneficial but not essential)
  • Experience with AI-augmented development tools such as Claude, Codex or GitHub Copilot

This team is particularly interested in bright, proactive engineers who can learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-moving environment. Exceptional candidates may still be considered even if they do not meet every listed requirement.

If you are interested in working on a meaningful public sector health project while collaborating with a strong engineering team, please apply for more information.
