About the Role

We're seeking an Android Engineer to join a well-established education technology company that's transforming how people learn. You'll develop new features primarily for Android, with occasional contributions to iOS or web as needed. This role offers the opportunity to deliver product work from conception to completion with a high degree of autonomy, prioritizing intuitive and delightful experiences for learners.

You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers while championing engineering and developer experience improvements. The ideal candidate will balance velocity with technical quality and long-term maintainability.

Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote options available)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: 5+ years

Salary Range: $180,000 - $240,000

Requirements

• Former founders, early-stage employees, or engineering leaders seeking to join a talented team without the stress of leading the entire organization are ideal candidates
• Deep experience with Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Strong product intuition and motivation to solve user problems
• Ability to write clear, maintainable code with low complexity
• Comfort collaborating in fast-moving cross-functional teams
• Willingness to occasionally contribute to iOS or web when needed
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
