Supper is a premium cooking companion for real life. We're building a native mobile product that combines recipe discovery, meal planning, grocery ordering, AI-guided cooking, and a progression system that helps people become better cooks over time.

We have a working prototype, a clear product direction, and a small founding team with strong product and design capability. What we're missing is a senior developer who can own the backend, infrastructure, and AI layer needed to take this to market.

What the role involves

You'd be responsible for the systems that sit behind the product. LLM integration, API architecture, cloud infrastructure, data layer, and the backend logic that connects a native iOS app to intelligent, personalised experiences. This isn't maintaining someone else's codebase. It's building the foundation from scratch with real ownership over technical decisions.

What we're looking for

Someone senior enough to make architectural decisions independently. Experience across backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI/LLM integration. Comfort working at an early stage where scope is wide and resources are lean. Strong opinions held loosely.

How this is structured

We're early stage and building with minimal funding. This isn't a salaried position in the traditional sense. Depending on the person, this could take the shape of a focused project engagement or something closer to a founding technical role with equity. We're open on structure and will figure out the right fit through conversation.
