Full Stack Engineer

Position Overview Help shape the heart of CiP by leading end‑to‑end feature delivery across our TypeScript/React frontend and backend APIs. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll define component patterns, API contracts, and data models, balancing developer ergonomics with security and compliance. You’ll collaborate across design, product, and DevOps to turn ideas into high‑impact features as we launch Beta. This is an opportunity to grow meaningful product ownership from the very beginning. You’ll work closely with the CTO and CEO to shape CiP’s product direction and technical architecture.

About StonesAI We’re revolutionizing compliance automation through our Compliance Intelligence Platform (CiP), which uses a multi-agent AI architecture to automate up to 70% of compliance tasks with human oversight and full audit trails. We are about to launch our Beta with an initial focus on government contractors and enterprises pursuing SOC 2, CMMC, and NIST CSF. CiP’s control-level mapping lets one piece of evidence satisfy multiple frameworks, with usage-based pricing that removes per‑framework friction.

Responsibilities

• Build delightful, accessible UIs in React + TypeScript (Vite, Tailwind/shadcn) and integrate with typed OpenAPI clients
• Design and evolve API contracts with backend teams; ensure robust data modeling and pagination/filtering
• Implement Auth0-based authentication flows and secure data access patterns
• Drive code quality (ESLint/TypeScript strict, API typing, error boundaries) and performance
• Partner with DevOps on CI/CD quality gates and deployment readiness

Must-Haves

• React and TypeScript in production; strong state/data fetching patterns (e.g., TanStack Query) and routing (React Router)
• PostgreSQL literacy: modeling basics, query patterns, and how frontend choices impact backend/database
• Comfortable consuming REST APIs with OpenAPI-generated types; solid understanding of HTTP semantics
• UI fundamentals: component composition, accessibility, forms (react-hook-form), and schema validation (Zod)
• Pragmatic problem solving and ownership from spec to deploy

Nice-to-Haves

• Python experience (FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy) and Alembic familiarity
• Azure exposure (Static Web Apps, Container Apps/AKS, ACR, Key Vault, Storage) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
• Auth0/OIDC experience; role/permission-aware UI patterns
• Data viz chops (Chart.js/Recharts) and UX for complex workflows
• Startup experience and comfort with iterative product discovery
