Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Shopify Theme Developer to join our team in a full-time, remote role. The Senior Shopify Theme Developer will oversee the development, customization, and maintenance of Shopify themes, ensuring they meet client specifications while optimizing performance and user experience. Responsibilities include building and deploying custom themes, troubleshooting technical issues, collaborating with design and user experience teams, and staying up-to-date with best practices and Shopify updates.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Shopify development, including Liquid programming, custom theme development, and Shopify app integrations
  • Strong skills in front-end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js
  • Experience working with eCommerce platforms, payment gateways, and third-party APIs
  • Ability to collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure seamless design and responsive layouts
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize performance
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  • Understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and accessibility standards for eCommerce websites
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working in agile or collaborative environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with other eCommerce platforms or additional web development tools is a plus
