Marketing Manager (Freelance) at Satlas
Satlas is a marketing agency helping businesses generate consistent demand through paid ads, cold outbound email, SEO, and email nurture campaigns. We're growing fast and looking for a Marketing Manager to own client delivery as we scale. This is a freelance role with earnings that grow alongside our client book.
About the role
You'll be the engine room of Satlas client delivery. When our Account Executive closes a new client, you take the handoff and run things from there. You're the client's main point of contact, the person making sure our specialists deliver on time, and the one responsible for keeping clients happy and paying month after month.
Your first project will be Satlas itself. Before external clients ramp up, you'll work directly with the founder to manage Satlas's own marketing. This gives you full context on how we operate, our packages, and our specialists before you onboard the first paying clients.
What you'll own
Onboarding new clients (first 30 days):
- Running structured onboarding calls
- Gathering goals, brand assets, sales context, and system access
- Identifying client-side contacts (sales rep, social media manager, IT)
- Consolidating everything into a working brief
- Coordinating with our specialists across SEO, Meta ads, cold email, and EDM so onboarding lands inside 30 days
Recurring client management:
- Being the single point of contact for the client
- Running monthly scorecard meetings and feeding insights back to specialists
- Quality-checking specialist work before it reaches the client
- Damage control when things go sideways
- Constantly hunting for ways to lift client results
- Flagging churn risk and surfacing upsell opportunities to the founder
You're a fit if you
- Have 3+ years managing client accounts in an agency or in-house marketing setting
- Understand the basics of paid social, SEO, cold email, and lifecycle marketing (you won't be executing, but you'll coordinate the people who do)
- Are excellent at structured client communication: calls, recaps, scorecards, clear written updates
- Stay calm under pressure and can defuse client frustration
- Are organised to a fault. Notion, Asana, ClickUp, whatever your tool, you live in it
- Are based in Sydney, Australia and available during standard business hours
Compensation
- $900 per client per month (base rate)
- Performance bonuses available for case studies, referrals, and client retention milestones
- Earnings scale with the client book. The better Satlas does, the better you do
