Job Description As a Databricks Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Databricks. You will collaborate with product and analytics teams to turn raw data into actionable insights that power classroom tools and student learning journeys. This role requires strong technical expertise in cloud platforms, real-time data processing, and robust data engineering practices to support multi-tenant environments and secure data operations. Key Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement batch and streaming data pipelines using Databricks
• Optimize, monitor, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for performance and cost-efficiency
• Ensure high standards of data quality, accuracy, and integrity across datasets
• Document technical specifications, architectural decisions, and pipeline workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions with analytics and business needs
• Apply role-based access control (RBAC) and data governance practices to safeguard sensitive data
• Support version-controlled development in multi-tenant environments using CI/CD pipelines

Job Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark/Spark, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing and data modeling
• Proficient in building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes for large-scale systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines) and version control workflows
• Understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-tenant data architecture
• Experience working with real-time data processing frameworks

Nice to Have

• Exposure to customer-facing product data workflows
• Experience with MLFlow and machine learning pipeline integration
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and privacy-preserving data practices (anonymization, pseudonymization)
• Integration expertise with streaming platforms like Apache Kafka for real-time ingestion into Databricks
