Data Engineer (Databricks)

One of our clients is looking for an experienced Data Engineer (Databricks) for a long-term remote contract opportunity.

Please Note: Due to client contractual requirements, only U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders are eligible for consideration.

No Third-Party Vendors, Please.Required Skills & Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Data Platform Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong expertise in Databricks Lakehouse Platform, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Advanced experience with PySpark, Apache Spark, and Spark SQL.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for large-scale data processing and transformation.
• Hands-on experience building, optimizing, and troubleshooting ETL/ELT pipelines within Databricks.
• Experience with Databricks Workflows, Jobs, Notebooks, and Cluster Management.
• Strong knowledge of Delta Live Tables (DLT) and data pipeline orchestration.
• Experience implementing data quality, governance, and security controls in Databricks environments.
• Expertise in Spark performance tuning, query optimization, partitioning, and workload management.
• Experience integrating Databricks with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data ingestion frameworks and processing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
• Familiarity with real-time and batch processing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of distributed computing concepts and large-scale data architectures.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
