We’re looking for a curious and detail-oriented Data Engineer to help build and maintain our data systems and pipelines. This role is ideal for early-career professionals passionate about data, technology, and solving complex problems in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows
• Support integration of data from multiple internal and external sources
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Monitor and optimize data flows for performance and reliability
• Participate in data cleaning, transformation, and modeling tasks
• Document data processes, workflows, and best practices

✅ Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related projects/internships
• Basic proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala)
• Familiarity with ETL tools, data warehouses, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
• Fluent in English; German is not required in Australia
• Based in Australia with the legal right to work full-time

• Exposure to cloud data technologies (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect)
• Experience with version control (Git)
