Department: Product Employment Type: Fixed Term - Full Time Location: Remote, UK DescriptionOne year Fixed Term Contract Working as part of an autonomous cross functional team you’ll have strategic ownership of the full cycle of product management, from opportunity assessment, ideation, through delivery and ongoing product management. You will be responsible for the customer and business outcomes in your domain and focus on building a product that meets users and market needs by ensuring that we progress in an outcome-oriented, data-informed and lean manner to create a product offering that customers love. Your immediate focus will be on our flagship payment product: ParentPay, and our ambitious initiatives for 2026. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing how schools and parents transact for school fees, meals, uniforms, clubs and trips. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop payment solutions that simplify transactions for parents and schools, enhancing convenience and efficiency while supporting financial insights and reporting. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of payment systems and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences for families and schools alike. You will build a deep understanding of the customers you are serving whilst acting as the centre-point between product delivery teams and broader functional groups including Sales & Marketing. Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage insights, data, trends, and problem validation to craft a clear product vision and strategy that align with the wider portfolio and business objectives, ensuring that every initiative drives meaningful outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Designers to develop a deep understanding of user needs and pain points through market insights, user research, and product analytics, ensuring solutions are both impactful and user-focused.
  • Own and continuously refine an outcome-oriented roadmap that balances new features, technical improvements, and user needs. Providing clear direction to cross-functional teams, enabling them to break down and deliver iteratively.
  • Define and track product performance indicators to measure progress against strategic objectives, using data-driven insights to adjust priorities as needed.
  • Act as the product’s ambassador by engaging with stakeholders across marketing, sales, and senior leadership to align product goals with broader business strategies. Present product plans and performance updates to build consensus and manage expectations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience of payment systems essential
  • An energetic self-starter experienced in creating alignment between multiple teams
  • Experience leading teams within agile, customer-centric, data-informed, quality-obsessed, cross-functional delivery teams, eager to coach Product team members in this area
  • Experience successfully creating commercially viable products that met user needs
  • Experience of working within organisations that have undergone digital transformation desirable
  • Adept at creating a product vision, OKRS, producing outcome led roadmaps and product dashboards
  • Ability to create a product business strategy working with stakeholders including Marketing and Sales and Support to bring a new value proposition to customers
  • A strategic thinker and comfortable using data and explaining strategy clearly and concisely, written or verbally
  • Able to effectively integrate customer research and feedback to help drive requirements, prioritisation, execution and operation
  • Thrive in change and ambiguity and constantly able to take on new challenges
  • Excellent communication skills – you are articulate and can explain complex subjects in simple terms
  • Excellent presentation and story-telling skills with proven ability to influence and drive alignment across an organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management, engaging and building relationships across the business and clearly articulating and communicating your product vision to a diverse range of business users from senior management level to engineering, customer success and beyond
