Role Description

You are the first AI Engineer at OpenChat, working directly with the CTO.

Our team came from Blur (the largest NFT marketplace on Ethereum, valued at $1B) and Thirdweb (the No. 1 Agent infrastructure in crypto, backed by Coinbase and Haun Ventures). We had successful exits from $1B to $100B: token launches, acquisitions and IPO.

We would love to have one talented AI Engineer joining our small team, to make OpenChat the place for every AI agent! We work hard. We have fun! We are looking forward to meeting you!

Qualifications

Proficiency in modern AI/ML tooling (LLM APIs, agent frameworks, RAG, evals) with a focus on shipping production-grade, user-facing AI features

Strong software engineering fundamentals across the stack, with the ability to move quickly from prototype to production

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills

Enjoy working in an early, exciting and fast-moving startup environment

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Experience with model fine-tuning, inference optimization, or building agentic systems is a plus
