We’re working with a Tech Consultancy who are supporting a MedTech end client that has recently shifted from the old front-end / back-end split into proper full-stack, product-led teams. They’re after an Engineering Manager with Consultancy experience who can land well, build trust quickly, and help a very busy team settle into this new way of working.

The role

You will be looking after a full-stack squad who have plenty on the go. This is not a sit-back-and-observe contract. They need someone who is hands-on with people, delivery and ways of working. You will work closely with stakeholders, including the Product Manager, help bring more structure, and keep delivery moving at a sensible pace. There is also a good bit of cultural change underway, so you will be guiding the team through that shift and helping them get comfortable with a more modern, product-focused setup.

What we’re looking for

• Strong background in Consultancy / Professional Services
• Experience working with or around regulated industries such as MedTech
• Confident leading full-stack teams using modern tech stacks including cloud-native, microservices, CI/CD, and modern front-end frameworks
• Able to steer delivery in busy environments with lots of moving parts
• Good coaching instincts, supportive and practical
• Comfortable handling change and juggling a lively stakeholder mix

Day-to-day

• Leading and supporting a full-stack engineering team
• Working closely with stakeholders and the Product Manager
• Keeping delivery on track across a packed roadmap
• Improving ways of working and team culture
• Providing steady, calm direction to an energetic team

If you are an Engineering Manager with Consulting experience who enjoys getting stuck in, guiding teams through change, and bringing a bit of order to a lively environment, this is a cracking contract.
