Job Description

About Us:MOD LIGHTING is a rapidly growing eCommerce brand specializing in premium, design-driven and innovative lighting solutions. We view lighting as an expression of personality and creativity — and we’re redefining how people experience lighting in their homes. Our mission is to build the most inspiring and customer-centric lighting brand in the world, combining design excellence, storytelling, and data-driven strategy to deliver growth and innovation at scale.

Who We Are Looking For:

We’re looking for a Business Data Analyst — a strategic thinker and hands-on problem solver — who can connect data across the full customer lifecycle and turn it into actionable insights that fuel growth.

You’ll be responsible for building visibility into every part of our business: from marketing performance and customer retention to operations and profitability.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced eCommerce environment, loves data storytelling, and knows how to translate insights into business impact.

Key Responsibilities:End-to-End Analytics Ownership

  • Own and maintain the company’s business performance dashboards and reporting infrastructure, covering marketing, sales, operations, and customer success.
  • Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources (Shopify, GA4, Klaviyo, paid media platforms, Amazon, CRM, and finance systems).
  • Build a unified view of the customer journey — from first touch to repeat purchase and retention.
  • Proactively identify patterns, risks, and opportunities that inform management decisions.

Strategic Insights for Leadership

  • Partner directly with senior management to deliver insights that drive strategic planning, LTV growth, and resource allocation.
  • Build business cases and scenario models for strategic initiatives (new markets, product categories, or retention programs).
  • Present clear, concise performance reports to leadership — highlighting trends, anomalies, and actionable recommendations.

Department-Level Analytics & Optimization

  • Support each department with customized reporting and insights:
  • Marketing: CAC, ROAS, CVR, channel attribution, and cohort analysis.
  • Website: Conversion funnel, AOV, RPV, test impact.
  • Email & Retention: Flow performance, repeat rates, LTV by segment.
  • Operations & CS: Fulfillment times, NPS, ticket trends, return patterns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to help teams test, measure, and scale what works.

Data Infrastructure & Process

  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards in Looker Studio or other tools, ensuring clean, consistent, and accurate reporting.
  • Establish standardized KPIs and ensure alignment across all teams and reports.
  • Improve data hygiene and structure within tools (Shopify, Klaviyo, GA4, etc.) to ensure reliability.
  • Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance data visibility and reporting efficiency.

Experience & Qualifications:

An ideal candidate:

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence — ideally in a high-growth eCommerce, retail, or DTC brand.
  • Proven experience building end-to-end analytics frameworks that combine marketing, sales, and operations data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, business-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in SQL, GA4, Looker Studio / Power BI / Tableau, and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta/Google Ads data, and Amazon Seller Central analytics.
  • Understanding of CAC/LTV dynamics, attribution models, and customer segmentation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to simplify complex data for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven, and highly organized, with a focus on actionable outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with multiple stakeholders.

We gladly welcome international applicants who meet the qualifications for this role.

What You Will Get:

Join a rapidly scaling eCommerce brand where data drives every decision. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping MOD’s growth strategy, helping every department make smarter, faster, and more confident decisions.

We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and the flexibility of remote work — along with the opportunity to work with a passionate team redefining how people experience lighting.
