Miimi & Jiinda

About Miimi & Jiinda

Miimi & Jiinda is an Aboriginal-owned luxury fashion brand founded by artist Melissa Greenwood on Gumbaynggirr Country.

The brand transforms original artworks into refined silk and linen garments designed to move effortlessly from day to night. Grounded in storytelling, culture, and connection to Country, each collection is created with a strong focus on quality, intention, and timeless design.

As the business enters a key growth phase, we are building a stronger operational foundation to support the next stage of scale.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the business and ensure all areas are operating smoothly and efficiently.

This role sits at the centre of the company and is responsible for coordinating workflows across production, product, logistics, and team ensuring everything is tracked, communicated clearly, and delivered on time.

Working closely with the Founder, COO, and Product Developer, you will translate direction into action and ensure all moving parts across the business are aligned and progressing.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with a strong emphasis on organisation, accountability, and follow-through.

This role is not creative or marketing-focused it is operational and execution-driven.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations (Core Focus)

• Oversee the day-to-day operational flow of the business

• Ensure all projects, timelines, and priorities are clearly tracked and progressing

• Coordinate across Founder, COO, Product Developer, and external partners

• Ensure nothing falls through the cracks

Production Coordination

• Track production across all garments, fabrics, trims, and suppliers

• Coordinate with makers and suppliers to ensure timelines are met

• Flag risks, delays, or issues early and proactively

Systems & Organisation

• Ensure all movement, decisions, and updates are documented

• Create structure across a fast-moving environment

Logistics & Inventory

• Oversee stock movement, shipments, and inventory tracking

• Ensure accuracy across materials and finished goods

Execution & Follow-Through

• Follow up on tasks across all areas of the business

• Ensure deadlines are met

• Keep everything moving forward consistently

Role Clarity

This role works alongside senior leadership and does not replace them:

• The COO sets strategy, direction, and priorities

• The Product Developer leads product design, development, and technical decisions

• The Operations Manager ensures everything is executed, tracked, and delivered on time

About You

• Proven experience in operations, coordination, or production within a fashion or product-based business

• Highly organised and detail-oriented

• Strong ability to manage multiple moving parts across a business

• Proactive with strong ownership and follow-through

• Clear and structured communicator

• Calm under pressure and solutions-focused

Role Structure

• Part-time (3–4 days per week)

• Remote (Australia-based), with occasional in-person collaboration (fittings, production, campaign moments)

• Fast-moving, hands-on environment

Why Join

This is an opportunity to step into a growing luxury fashion brand at a pivotal stage.

You will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in bringing structure, clarity, and consistency to the business as it scales.

Application Requirements

Please answer the following:

1. Describe your experience managing operations within a fashion or product-based business.
