Senior Python Engineer (Data Platform)

MCS Group is working with a growing software company building a modern data and AI platform that powers analytics, intelligent products and customer-facing insights. They're looking for a Senior Python Engineer who enjoys working with large-scale data systems and wants to help shape their next generation of data products. This is an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to work across platform engineering, data services, APIs and cloud-native architecture in a highly collaborative product environment.

Remote working from the UK. Sponsorship is unfortunately unavailable and successful candidates must hold full right to work in the UK.

As a Senior Python Engineer, you'll be building scalable backend services, data APIs and production-grade data capabilities that support analytics, AI and machine learning initiatives across the business. We're keen to speak with engineers who have strong Python development experience and exposure to data-intensive platforms, analytics products, ML infrastructure or modern cloud data ecosystems.

Key skills:

* Strong Python development experience

* Excellent SQL skills

* Experience building scalable backend services or platforms

* Cloud experience (AWS strongly preferred)

* CI/CD and modern engineering practices

* Exposure to data platforms, analytics products or AI/ML environments

Salary
