Remote Data Product Owner

• Overarching responsibility for data products related to participant recruitment and genomic data analysis.
• Design of data solutions in collaboration with teams for end-to-end data workflows.
• Ensure respectful and secure handling of data from under-represented groups.
• Develop research data governance policies.
• Manage data flow and coordination across the project through effective vendor management.
• Facilitate data product management decisions to ensure consistency and sustainability.
• Capture requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Articulate data governance and management best practices to diverse audiences.
• Collaborate on technical decision-making and documentation of data products.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data product ownership or data engineering.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience in designing reliable and scalable data products and workflows.
• Familiarity with data modeling standards such as UML 2.0 and ER Diagrams.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Curious and eager to learn new techniques in data science.
• Experience in implementing and designing data pipelines.
