Business Analyst- AI Agent (Mining Industry)

One of our Mining Industry Client is seeking to engage a AI Agent Engineer / Business AnalystPlease check below all the job details:

1. Contract Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
2. Work Location: Initial onboarding and orientation in Pilbara (WA), then remote working across Australia (Initial Onboarding 4 weeks)
3. Eligibility: You must need to Australian Citizen OR Australian Permanent Resident OR Full working rights
4. Budget: $115 – 120 / Hour (Inc Super OR + GST) (08 Hours a day)
5. Tentative Start Date: ASAP

Position Description:

This role focuses on delivering AI-driven business automation and digital transformation initiatives within the mining industry. The successful candidate will work on implementing AI agents to improve business processes, automate workflows, and drive operational efficiency across mining operations. The role combines technical AI implementation expertise with business process improvement and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

The position requires a strong understanding of AI agent technologies, mining industry operations, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions that deliver measurable value.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents to automate business processes within mining operations. Implement AI-driven solutions using modern frameworks and platforms aligned with industry best practices.
• Analyse existing mining business processes, identify automation opportunities, and implement AI-powered solutions to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and contribute to digital transformation programs focused on leveraging AI technologies to modernise mining business processes, enhance decision-making, and drive operational excellence.
• Engage with stakeholders across mining operations to understand business needs, document requirements, and translate them into technical specifications for AI agent solutions.
• Work closely with business units, IT teams, and operational staff to ensure AI solutions are aligned with business objectives and effectively integrated into existing workflows.
• Create comprehensive documentation including process maps, technical specifications, user guides, and training materials to support solution adoption and sustainability.

Key Knowledge and Experience:

• 5-8 years in technology, business analysis, or process improvement roles.
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience working with AI agents, machine learning, automation frameworks, or AI-driven process automation tools.
• Demonstrated experience working within the mining industry, understanding mining operations, workflows, and business challenges.
• Proven capability in analysing, mapping, and improving business processes with a focus on automation and efficiency gains.
• Experience contributing to or leading digital transformation initiatives, particularly those involving AI, automation, or advanced analytics.
• Strong ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, gather requirements, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, automation tools, scripting/programming (Python, RPA tools, etc.), and integration with enterprise systems.
