🔧 What You’ll DoAPI Strategy & Ownership

• Lead the end-to-end API roadmap — from design and documentation to versioning and sunset planning.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and security teams to deliver robust, compliant, and scalable APIs.
• Champion an API vision that strengthens the company’s role as a FinTech platform leader.

User Research & Market Insight

• Analyze FinTech and ERISA integration trends to shape product direction.
• Conduct usability testing with developers and clients to enhance the API experience.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams.

Client & Developer Engagement

• Partner with clients and advisory boards to identify integration opportunities and challenges.
• Support onboarding and API adoption, ensuring seamless client experiences.
• Track key metrics like adoption, performance, and developer satisfaction to drive continuous improvement.

🧠 What You BringTechnical & Product Mastery

• 2+ years in B2B enterprise software product management, focusing on API or platform products.
• 3+ years in FinTech retirement benefits or retirement services, or software built for those industries. Must know retirement.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth2, JWT, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
• Skilled at bridging technical detail with business impact.

Leadership & Communication

• Data-driven decision-making and a passion for customer + developer experience.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable presenting to clients and cross-functional teams.

🌟 Bonus Points

• Experience as a Product Owner / Manager in FinTech or API platform environments.
• Background in UX for developer portals or API documentation.
• Product certifications (e.g., CSPO, Pragmatic Institute, SAFe, Lean Product).
• Familiarity with tools like Figma, Jira, Confluence, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Postman.
