Description

We're supporting a long-standing, well-funded tech-for-good organisation entering a new phase of growth. The company is expanding its engineering team following recent investment and new customer wins. Engineers work in a collaborative environment with a high level of autonomy and involvement in technical decision-making.

The organisation is hiring a Software Engineer with strong Python/Django experience to join a small, experienced team working across backend development, cloud services, integrations, and data workflows.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Build and maintain cloud-based features within an agile team
• Design scalable and extensible technical solutions
• Review code and contribute to engineering standards
• Support deployment processes and cloud infrastructure improvements
• Participate in architectural discussions and decisions
• Work closely with product, data, and support teams
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to best practices

Tech stack

Experience with several of the following is beneficial:

• Python and Django (essential)
• Angular or TypeScript
• AWS (essential)
• REST APIs
• MySQL or InfluxDB
• Git, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines

Additional experience such as IoT integrations, payment systems, data pipelines, or working in a startup environment is useful, but not required.
