Python Developer Team Lead | Remote | £55,000 - £62,000 We're working with a pioneering edtech innovator on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a hands-on leader to bridge the gap between architectural vision and production-ready code, driving the evolution of a global learning ecosystem. As the Team Lead, you will spearhead development using Python and AWS, leveraging your Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) expertise to build scalable, cloud-native solutions that impact thousands of learners. This role offers the perfect blend of high-level strategy, team mentorship, and deep-dive technical implementation. The Role

• Lead the end-to-end development of high-quality, scalable Python applications within a sophisticated cloud-native learning ecosystem.
• Drive the Agile Sprint cycle with full accountability, collaborating with Product Owners and Stakeholders to translate design concepts into robust technical realities.
• Architect and maintain secure AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Mentor and scale a high-performing engineering team, establishing best practices for RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Evangelise DevOps principles by managing CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

What You'll Need

• 6+ years of professional Python development experience, with at least 2 years in a Senior or Lead capacity.
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS services and proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CDK).
• Deep proficiency in building RESTful APIs, microservices, and working with both PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
• Strong background in modern DevOps workflows, including Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Exceptional communication skills with a track record of leading Agile teams and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
