The Role

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-performance Postgres environments within AWS cloud infrastructures.

• Build and operate robust data pipelines using AWS Data Migration Services (DMS) to ensure seamless data flow across critical UK sectors.

• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment to debug complex data processing issues and optimize query performance for large-scale databases.

• Proactively evaluate and integrate emerging tools and technologies to improve data platform scalability and sustainability.

• Support the migration of sensitive production data and provide 3rd Tier technical support for operational systems.

What You'll Need

• Strong expertise in Postgres Database Administration and advanced SQL programming (PL-SQL preferred).

• Proven experience with AWS database offerings, specifically RDS and Aurora, alongside expertise in AWS Data Migration Services (DMS).

• Hands-on experience leading data engineering tasks within an Agile/Scrum framework, including task estimation and dependency mapping.

• Ability to script in Python or similar languages to automate processes and integrate data workflows.

• Security Clearance Eligibility: Must have been a UK resident for at least 10 years to meet SC and DV clearance residency criteria.
