For our Client we are currently looking for Candidates for the position of:

Senior Data Developer / Tech Lead

Location: remote work (candidates located in Warsaw preferred)

Branch: investment banking

Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)

Length: contract for 12 months

Rate: 180-210 PLN/h net

Start date: ASAP

Working hours: European business hours

Team: multinational; Line Manager is from Poland

Remote work: 100% remote work, with occasional visits in Warsaw

What will you do:

• Understanding of Data architecture and data modelling

• Design, implement, and maintain data models and supporting solutions

• Build and maintain reusable ETL pipelines to move from development-centric to configuration-centric approach

• Propagate holistic and structured approach for building data based solutions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of all systems and applications

• Support other team members to ensure continuous improvement of the team's skills and knowledge

What we expect from you:

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience as Data Developer / DWH Developer

• Knowledge of Azure cloud stack (Azure SQL, Synapse, Storage Account, Key Vault, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Active Directory and more)

• Experience in Python development, particularly of ETL/ELT and data pipelines using relevant frameworks such as pandas, numpy and other

• Knowledge of IDE and version control tools – Github, Jetbrains (Pycharm)

• Basic CI/CD tools knowledge (Pulumi, Github Actions, Team city, Azure Devops Pipelines)

• Software development practices, design patterns and clean code

• Test driven development (TDD)

• Understanding of SDLC process and it’s requirements

• Leadership ability for team of developers and testers

• Experience in developing Data Architecture and Data modelling

• Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into requirements

• Agile project management and DevOps concepts

• Knowledge of English on min. C1 level

What would be a plus:

• Relevant Financial Services experience

• Data warehousing, SQL

• PySpark, Data Lake

• Fixing and resolving database development problems including performance tuning and optimisation

• Analytics and Reporting solutions such as Anaplan, Tableau or Power BI

• Integration with full O365 stack – I.e., SharePoint
