About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive, product-focused Frontend Web Engineer who’s excited to take on multiple responsibilities and ship features that bring joy to users and value to restaurants. You’ll join a team where you can have real influence, wide scope, and room to grow in a fun and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Designing and building advanced web frontend features
• Improving application performance
• Continuously improving application and code quality

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• A minimum of 3–5 years of commercial experience as a Senior Engineer working in frontend web development
• Full working rights in Australia

Required Skills

• Strong React, Typescript, Javascript skills
• Strong HTML, CSS, responsive design and cross-browser support skills
• Proficient with React frameworks such as NextJS
• Proficient with UI libraries such as Emotion, Material UI, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap
• Proficient with consuming REST and GraphQL APIs
• Solid experience in tuning page load speed, rendering performance
• Strong understanding of Software Development principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in automated testing and writing testable code
• Familiar with modern app architectures and design patterns
• Comfortable working in Git
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive mindset, ready to roll up your sleeves

Preferred Skills

• Have full-stack experience and are also competent in backend development
• Have experience in building automated CI/CD pipelines
• Love food, restaurants, and dining out
