Developer (Full-stack, Next.js/TypeScript) | DGXprtAbout DGXprt
DGXprt is an AI-enabled Dangerous Goods compliance platform, built to help organisations safely manage chemical storage, handling, and regulatory obligations in one of the most complex and highly regulated environments.
We launched in October 2025 and are already onboarding customers across Australia, with strong market validation and an external investor backing our vision.
We’re not building “another SaaS tool” — we’re building the next generation of compliance software: AI-driven, practitioner-informed, and designed to turn regulatory complexity into clear, confident action for businesses.
The opportunity
This is a rare chance to join DGXprt at an early stage and play a defining role in shaping both our product and engineering foundations.
You’ll work directly with the founders, influence core technical decisions, and help build a platform where AI, compliance logic, and modern software architecture come together in a genuinely meaningful way.
This is a role for someone who wants real ownership, rapid learning, and the satisfaction of building something right-first-time in a domain where quality, trust, and precision truly matter — while still moving at startup speed and with modern tools.
Tech stack
Next.js (App Router) with TypeScript, Next.js API routes and server actions, PostgreSQL via Supabase (including Row-Level Security), Supabase Auth, Vercel hosting, OpenAI APIs (server-side, controlled), and GitHub + Vercel CI/CD, within a security-first, multi-tenant SaaS approach.
What you’ll do
· Build and improve frontend features using Next.js and TypeScript
· Implement backend logic via API routes and server actions
· Work with PostgreSQL data models, including multi-tenant patterns
· Help integrate AI-assisted features, with validation and guardrails
· Write clean, readable, well-tested code, contribute to reviews and design discussions
· Build secure, compliant SaaS systems with least privilege and auditable design principles
What we’re looking forRequired
· Around 1–3 years professional software development experience
· Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
· Experience with React and/or Next.js
· Working understanding of REST APIs and databases
· Comfortable with Git, branching, and pull requests
· Curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions and learn
Nice to have
· PostgreSQL and/or Supabase experience
· Exposure to SaaS or multi-tenant architectures
· Interest in security, compliance, or regulated domains
· Familiarity with cloud/serverless platforms
Location and eligibility
This role is remote, with the founding team based in Perth and Melbourne. Our preference is for candidates located in Perth or Melbourne to support occasional in-person collaboration, however we are open to other locations across Australia for the right candidate. Applicants must be Australian residents and have the right to work in Australia.
Why join
· First engineering hire, direct access to founders, real product influence
· Modern stack, pragmatic engineering, and a security and compliance mindset
· A genuinely new market space, applying AI carefully in a regulated domain
· High trust, high ownership, and strong learning curve
