Position: Elite Product / Project Manager – AI Evaluation

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $85–$120/hr

Location: Remote

Duration: Initial sprint with potential transition into long-term Expert Project Manager roles (flexible and asynchronous)

Requirements

• Strong experience in Product Management or Project Management at:
• Big Tech companies
• AI-first startups
• Quantitative trading firms or similarly high-bar technical environments
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience working with:
• Code agents
• Open-source codebases
• Developer tooling or software platforms
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from a reputable university (US, Canada, or UK preferred)
• Exceptional analytical rigor and structured problem-solving ability
• Strong attention to detail when evaluating technical systems and workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate technical complexity into clear product and execution requirements
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment

Role Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation, comparison, and optimization of next-generation AI code agents
• Design structured evaluation frameworks to assess performance, reliability, and usability of AI tools
• Analyze how AI code agents interact with real-world software systems and workflows
• Document findings clearly to inform model improvements and product decisions
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers, engineers, and stakeholders
• Translate research insights into actionable project and execution plans
• Support follow-on Mercor software engineering initiatives as an Expert Project Manager
• Maintain high standards of clarity, organization, and delivery across all outputs
