Position Summary
Cority is looking for a goal-driven and enthusiastic occupational health and healthcare expert to help promote its brand and strengthen its position in the global market for health software. As Product Advisory Manager I – Health, you will act as a subject matter expert for this market and a passionate advocate for users — helping Cority build software that reflects the practices, standards, and ways of working health professionals expect. You’ll draw on your deep understanding of the market to guide product and engineering teams toward the solutions health professionals want and need.
Cority offers a wide range of corporate health and healthcare solutions covering internal occupational health, third-party occupational health services, and healthcare practice management. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping internal teams effectively design, develop, and position Cority’s solutions to help customers serve their employees and patients, make health professionals’ lives easier, and meet their organizational goals.
You will also support our sales and marketing teams by working with them to explain what users in different health markets are looking for in software to make their lives easier, how we should communicate with them and what their buying triggers might be.
Essential roles and responsibilities:
- Industry & Subject Matter Expertise: Interpret and translate your knowledge of healthcare settings for the different departments you work with. At the same time, monitor and identify new trends and innovations in the market and bring these to your peers in a way they can understand.
- User Expertise: Help internal teams understand the people who do health management work — what they care about, what frustrates them, and what they’re responsible for — so we can build, position, and demonstrate software that fits how they work.
- Competitive Intelligence: Act as an expert on how to win against our competitors. Translate competitive intelligence and market knowledge to help our sales and marketing teams understand how to reach our buyers and influencers in health. Build internal understanding of competitor products and differentiators, educating internal teams on how to beat them.
- Product Innovation & Roadmap: Help define Cority’s Health Management product vision, strategy and investment priorities, and work with Product Managers, Developers, and Engineers to set development priorities based on your experience and market trends.
- Sales Support: Actively support and advance sales opportunities by ensuring our teams understand their buyers’ motivations and how best to communicate with them.
Required competencies and qualifications:
- Health Experience: Broad understanding of how health programs work in different settings covering internal occupational/employee health, third-party occupational health services, and healthcare practice management, and how software is used in these settings.
- Industry and Geography Expertise: Solid understanding of health challenges across industries and provider types. An understanding or experience of health practices and systems in more than one country is an asset.
- Software Experience: A strong understanding of how software is used in different health settings. Experience either as a system administrator or power user of one or more health software systems in one of these settings is highly valuable.
- Education: Degree or other relevant qualification in a health discipline. A professional designation/certification in a health discipline is an asset.
- Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience in clinical practice and/or operational health management roles. Experience working in multiple health settings and with multiple software systems is considered an asset.
Competencies & Behavioral Attributes:
- Domain Knowledge: Deep domain knowledge and subject matter expertise across health including how programs operate, practices, principles, standards, regulations, systems, and ways of working.
- Communication: A strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communicator; demonstrates ability to influence without direct authority, build partnerships, and inspire action through storytelling.
- Organization: Exceptional organization and strong project management skills; adept at building and executing detailed, multi-phase project plans with multiple stakeholder groups; deadline oriented with organizational agility.
- Problem Solving: Creative analytical thinker with a strong attention to detail and ability to discern patterns, trends, and find ways to navigate around obstacles to find solutions; collaborates well with peers to explore all potential options.
- Initiative: Self-starter; self-motivated with high energy and work ethic; seizes opportunities to find new ways of working or process improvements; actively seeks to build professional networks to help achieve objectives.
- Business Acumen: Ability to communicate product value and differentiators to influence buyer action; Experience building business cases to justify investments.
- Customer/User Centric: Ability to identify and translate business and user issues/needs/challenges at the market and customer level; Strong understanding of user personas that would use Cority software and how to influence them.
- Technical Savviness: Skilled at learning, adopting, and navigating software applications, understanding systems, tools, templates, and workflow, and translating the value of those features to users.
- Languages: Strength in French, Spanish and/or German language considered an asset
- Travel: 10%
