Who We’re Looking For: Multiple Cloud Data Engineer Consultants for a 100% remote contract role. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; we are unable to provide sponsorship or work with third-party agencies About The Role We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer with strong expertise in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing scalable data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and leveraging modern cloud services to drive innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud data storage solutions with high availability and performance.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines for ETL processes, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
• Automate workflows and integrate third-party services using cloud-native tools.
• Monitor performance of cloud data systems (e.g., AWS CloudWatch), troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• Conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.
• Develop APIs and optimize data retrieval methods for enterprise consumption.
• Ensure compliance with data security, encryption, and governance standards.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and engineers to support data modeling, reporting, and analytics.
• Partner with IT and security teams to establish disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Maintain documentation, data flow diagrams, and metadata for lineage and cataloging.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud data engineering to drive innovation.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Mandatory: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS (Kubernetes), Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
• Data Storage: Data lakes, data warehouses, cloud storage services (e.g., S3).
• Pipelines: ETL pipeline development & automation (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Programming: Python, Java, Scala.
• Databases & Systems: SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, PostgreSQL.
• Data Security & Governance: Strong understanding of compliance and best practices.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and analyze large datasets for patterns and trends.
