Business Analyst

Cleared Recruitment is partnering with a Federal Government agency to engage multiple Business Analysts to join a high-performing Service and Experience Design team.

This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, citizen-facing services, contributing to end-to-end service design through discovery, design, and delivery phases within a fast-paced, sprint-based environment.

• Expected Commencement Date: July 2025
• Rate: $120.00 - $140.00 per hour incl. super (negotiable)
• Duration: 12-months
• Extensions: 1 x 6-month extensions
• Hours: Full-time
• Location: Anywhere in Australia

The Opportunity

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in service design sprints, helping shape evidence-based solutions that improve how services are delivered across complex government environments.

You will work closely with a broad stakeholder group including frontline staff, policy, regulatory, operational, and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business analysis activities across service design sprints
• Elicit and validate business and user requirements through workshops, interviews, and analysis
• Develop key artefacts including Process maps (current and future state), Service journeys, and Impact and benefits analysis
• Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies within sprint delivery
• Support testing, transition, and business change activities

About You:

You’re a hands-on Business Analyst who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoys working across the full delivery lifecycle.

You will bring:

• Experience in service design, process analysis, or customer journey mapping
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working in Agile or sprint-based environments
• Ability to deliver clear, practical, evidence-based solutions
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Desirable:

• Experience in Government or regulated environments
• Exposure to accessibility and inclusive design principles
• Understanding of digital service delivery and ICT-enabled environments

Clearance Requirement:

• Must hold a current Baseline Security Clearance (NV1 highly regarded)
