Data Annotation Analyst

Role Summary

The Data Annotations Analyst will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in accounting to support the development and validation of AI models. The role requires strong financial knowledge combined with the ability to review, structure, and validate datasets used in machine learning.

The consultant will play a critical role in ensuring AI systems accurately interpret financial transactions, reporting standards, and tax-related concepts.

Scope of WorkKey Responsibilities

• Perform annotation, validation, and quality assurance of financial datasets
• Identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and edge cases within training data
• Apply accounting principles to validate AI-generated outputs
• Assist in designing annotation guidelines and financial data taxonomies
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and annotation teams
• Act as a human-in-the-loop SME to improve model performance

Candidate RequirementsMandatory Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
• Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting standards
• Knowledge of business taxation (direct and indirect)
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail with a quality assurance mindset
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)Technical & Tools Experience

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
• Experience with mainstream accounting platforms (vendor-neutral)
• Exposure to data annotation, data quality, or AI-related workflows is advantageous
